Bird & Beers
Join Bird L.A., Audubon California, Audubon chapters, and a huge collection of other cool groups on May 7 for a celebration of birds all over LA County. From this lofty setting at the Ace rooftop bar we’ll scan the skies for raptors and their prey and discuss what makes Downtown LA an appealing place for such birds. Enjoy a cool beer and relax while a National Park Service ranger from the Santa Monica Mountains will be on hand with binoculars to share and to explain local bird phenomena, like the roosting of thousands of little Swifts nesting inside a downtown chimney every dusk. To find more events go to birdla.org.
