Last Remaining Seats
Last Remaining Seats (LRS) is the Los Angeles Conservancy’s annual series of classic films and live entertainment in historic theatres. What started in 1987 as a way to draw attention to L.A.’s historic theatres is now a summer tradition!
When: Through June 24th
Where: At various historical Los Angeles theaters.

Metro Art presents: Sci-Fi at Union Station
This series highlights Los Angeles, a capital of Science Fiction, renowned for being an inspiration and backdrop for many fundamental works within the genre. “Her” features scenes shot within the (fantastically reimagined) Metro transit system.
When: Friday, June 9 from 8:30 – 10:30pm (Doors at 8:00pm)

de LaB’s Making LA Together
Making LA Together will feature four team project proposals in front of a live audience that address issues of Transportation, Water, Density, and Community in Los Angeles. A panel of experts will ask questions and offer commentary about the projects, and the audience will vote for the best project in each of the four areas. We’ll work to make the winning ideas happen with a project fee of $2500 and the help of volunteers from the de LaB community. In addition to workshops and volunteer days, de LaB will also host four programs to introduce the public to each of the four completed projects.

A Curated Tour of Florence Bixby’s Gardens
There’s no better time to enjoy the Rancho’s nationally recognized gardens which were planned and executed in the early decades of the 20th century under the careful guidance of owner Florence Green Bixby using outstanding landscape architects and plantsmen of the era, including the Olmsted Brothers, William Hertrich, Florence Yoch, Paul J. Howard, and Allen Chickering.

LA Food Fest at Exposition Park
LA’s favorite tasting event returns to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum with more world class, award winning top chefs and restaurants, out of town headliners, your favorite street eats, and more, all in one place for big summer fun.

CicLAvia: Glendale to Atwater
CicLAvia catalyzes vibrant public spaces, active transportation and good health through car-free streets. Inspired by Bogotá’s weekly ciclovía, CicLAvia temporarily closes streets to car traffic and opens them to Los Angelenos to use as a public park. Free for all, CicLAvia connects communities to each other across an expansive city, creating a safe place to bike, walk, skate, roll, and dance through Los Angeles.
When: Sunday, June 11, 2017 9am — 4pm
